Time Management and Christians

"Time management is really a misnomer, because we all have exactly the same amount of time...
Self-management is a better term, because it implies that we manage ourselves in the time allotted us
.." Covey

Time management is not an easy task to live with in our lives. Time flies by every day. It is so hard to control, it is so easy to get distracted. If you tell me you are in control of your time and you manage it really well, then I think you might be amazing! But let's be honest at least to ourselves. How much time do you spend looking for your keys before you get out of the door? Or looking for your wallet? Or how many times did you get distracted by getting a new email? How much TV do you watch? How much time do you spend on the phone or skype? Or texting? I could continue with all these questions. It is amazing but I think, I completely waste my time if I have to count all the minutes I have spent doing something that is not important at all.
Self- management is a hard work. But it is so worth it! How much closer would you connect to the Lord? Doesn't it feel amazing to know that you honour God because He honoured you. You are going to live forever in Heaven! We are all so busy with our jobs, children, marriages, dates, walks, studying and all of these things are necessary and awesome, but if we don't prioritize we will never have time for the Lord, the Creator of us.
He is there each time we start our prayer, but have you heard Him calling you to talk? Have you heard Him call and not answered Him. You have just continued on cleaning or sitting on your computer, or doing something else. Honestly, I have. As I think about priorities: one day I am so organized and have a lot done but sometimes my day can be wasted. How valuable is your day? That day will NEVER come back if it is over. You live and time moves forward.

1 Write a priority list for the day.
2 What is your goal to achieve for this day?
3 What is your goal to achieve as a christian for the day?

I know that we are all people and we will never be perfect... unfortunately! But by writing this message I want to challenge myself and whoever wants to be challenged to be a better TM machine! Christ deserves the best of us!
